The fifth annual Dash to the Door, a 5K/3-mile Fun Run/Walk for the Beersheba Springs Medical Clinic, was held on July 6, 2019.
Dash to the Door 2019 was the most successful Dash to the Door in its 5-year history, raising over $40,000 to date! This year’s added events included a lunch provided by Tequila Sheila Events after the 4th of July Parade, an art show at Art on the Mountain with works from Stacy Beam and Tom Viers (30% of proceeds from the weekend art sales were donated to the Clinic), and a round-robin tennis tournament held by Karin Barrow. These additional events brought in over $5,000 to the Clinic’s coffers. Other donations and signup fees are just shy of $35,000. This year’s Dash built on the work of countless volunteers from years past, and the BSMC thanks them and all those who volunteered, donated, and participated in Dash to the Door 2019.
With more than 180 registered run/walkers, Dash to the Door 2019 had the most participants in its history. We thank our volunteers, Maggie Heinz and Bobbi Martin from Hands on Nashville for their work with Run Sign Up to develop this new platform for online registrations that links to our donate page.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the event or donated to support us. Thanks also to all of those who pitched in – without our numerous and dedicated volunteers, this event would not be possible. Special thanks to 2019 DttD Chair Kelly Baggett, who did an outstanding job.
Special mention also needs to be made of the exceptional fundraising done once more by Flo King. Truly amazing!
As you can see in the pictures below, it was a fun weekend for those who attended.
The walkers came behind at a more leisurely pace.
